1. A general legal opinion in regard to community schemes.

2.Gov Gazette- see 11 B (I).

So all residents are confined to their property. All common areas are off limits. (This includes Strandmeer roads, pool, tennis court and open areas.) Accordingly, no jogging , cycling, walking (with or without dogs, children) no visiting between units or from outside except in special circumstances.

In the event of anyone contravening the above the HOA reserves its right to report that to the relevant authority.

The above is the law and we understand the difficulties but we need to work together for the benefit of our community and South Africa. The trustees are not policemen so we rely on residents to act correctly.

To conclude we know that there have been conflicting reports from the Ministers of police and health in regard to walking etc on common areas in private estates. We wait to see how rigidly the law will be applied in this regard.

Stay safe.
