My Journey
Melanie Pittroff
Owner & Lead dentist
I’m Mel, and this is an insight into my story and journey at Oakley Road Dental Practice, where my dreams have become a reality.
As the owner of the practice since 2016, my aim is to provide the highest standard of dental care with a difference. We want patients, both old and new, to feel welcomed into our calm and relaxed environment, something for our patients to look forward to, like a catch-up with an old friend.
We decided to brand Oakley Road Dental Practice with an oak tree for our logo and used a vibrant green to bring brightness and happiness to the practice, as well as a way of connecting with the calmness of nature. We pride ourselves massively on having a fantastic team of dental professionals who love what they do. Our team is like family, and you can be sure that at Oakley Road, this will radiate kindness, compassion, and a friendly smile to everybody that visits us.
No matter how simple or complex it may be, we are here to deal with all aspects of your dental care and can provide you with the confidence to smile again.

Principal Dentist
MELANIE PITTROFF
Melanie qualified in Pretoria, South Africa as a Dentist in June 2000. Melanie is the Principal Dentist and the practice owner. Her special interests are cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign, and Mini Smile Makeovers. Melanie also has over 15 years of experience in facial aesthetics including Botox and Fillers. She enjoys family life, gardening, travelling, and reading and especially likes to travel to South Africa to see her family.

WILLIAM DOLAN
Will joined the practice in 2023. Will qualified in Cardiff in 2018, and brings a wide range of experience, expertise, and a passion in private and cosmetic dentistry. He is dedicated to ensuring your comfort and delivering exceptional results, all while maintaining a friendly and welcoming environment.
Outside of dentistry Will has a wide variety of pastimes including walking his Labrador Moose, photography, golf and watching ice hockey.

Dentist
DIMITRIOS KORONEOS
Dimitrios qualified as a dentist in 2012 and has since then been awarded a certificate in restorative dentistry and an Msc in Dental Implantology from the University of Central Lancashire. Dimitrios joined our team in 2017 and his main interest lies in cosmetic and dental implant dentistry. He is a highly trained cosmetic bonding provider, Invisalign Go provider and is our Implant specialist at the practice. He enjoys travelling, hanging out with friends by the sea and watching a nice movie.

Hygienist
MICHELLE VINTER
Michelle qualified in Newcastle as a hygienist in 2005 and has worked at the practice since 1997 as a dental nurse and is now our hygienist. Michelle enjoys yoga, holidays, camping, and spending time with her family. You will usually see her in the practice on Mondays and Tuesdays.

JAMINIE MORJARIA
Jaminie qualified in Birmingham as a dental hygienist in 2006 absolutely loves her job. In her spare time she enjoys going to the gym, cooking and going on adventures with her two children and husband. You will usually see her at the practice on a Thursday and Friday.

Practice Manager
MELANIE BONE
Mel has been a member of the team since 2022. She has been in dentistry since 1986 as a qualified dental nurse, receptionist, and practice manager. In her spare time Mel loves spending time with her family and friends and really enjoys gardening. Her main passion is being a Brownie Leader every Wednesday night.

SARAH THORNELY
Sarah is head receptionist of the practice and dental nurse with many years experience. She has worked at the practice since 1993. Outside of work she loves her holidays with her family and her dog Ted.

KEELEY TABLEY-WHITE
Keeley joined the practice in 2021. She previously worked as a qualified Nursery Nurse for the NHS for 12 years. Keeley loves to cook, socialise with friends and really enjoys being outdoors. She is very bubbly and has a very friendly face, we are very lucky to have her as part of our team.

SHELLEY HAMILTON
Shelley qualified as a dental nurse in 2008 and has worked alongside Melanie Pittroff for the past 14 years. She is very friendly and always has a smile on her face. Shelley loves holidays and spending free time with her family.

Alicja joined the practice in 2021. She has been a qualified Dental Nurse since 2019 and loves her job. She has one dog called Toby and enjoys taking walks. You'll find her working alongside Dimitrios the dentist.

Barbara joined us in September 2023 as a Dental nurse. Barbara is very calming and great at making our patients feel relaxed. As well as being a great Dental Nurse, Barbara likes baking and regularly brings in a treat for the team.

Brooke joined us in April 2024. Brooke comes from a medical background and has always wanted to be a Dental Nurse. She is a very calm person and already puts patients at ease.
